Update

    I realized that it's been a while since I've posted, so I figured tonight was a good time to update on the happenings in my life. School is officially crazy and it's kickin my trash! I like it though, which is a good thing. It just seems like all I ever do is go to school, go to work and then do homework! Include being engaged onto that list and it pretty much equals Stacie having no life!!

    Life is really good though. I love being engaged to Jared! Sometimes it's weird for me to think that I'm actually going to be getting married soon, but I honestly couldn't be much happier about it. I think he's about as good as they come, so I am one lucky girl! 

    Other good news though, I'm an aunt!  My sister had a little baby boy named Drake about 3 weeks ago. He's the cutest thing I've ever seen!  (if you want to see pictures click this link and stalk my sister's blog! haha) makes me sad that they live far away and I can't see him very often, but I have made it down to STG a couple of times since he's been born, so we've started to bond :) 

    Haha, so I have a professor at school who is the sweetest lady ever! She teaches my capstone class for teaching, and she's way awesome. Well she talked me into applying for Grad school at BYU in Math Education, and I decided that I'm going to do it. I know it sounds crazy, and I honestly never even thought much about it until this semester, but I know it'd be a great thing to do. The opportunity to further my education is never going to be better, because life is just going to get even more busy once we start a family (granted that won't happen for several years, but still) so I'm going to do it. There are a few other factors that helped me make the decision 1- Jared will still be in school 2- BYU will pay for my tuition and 3- BYU will also give me a job teaching lower level math on campus.  Basically I'll be getting paid to get my Master's Degree, so why not eh?!

Yay, we are so happy!

    So here's the story. . . Jared got a GPS ssytem for Christmas, and my dad ended up getting him a geocaching book thingy so jared had been talking about how he wanted to go geocaching together sometime. He talked to me early last week and asked me if I wanted to go on Saturday and that he'd found one on campus so we made it a date!

    Haha, I was getting really antsy because I just wanted to et engaged so bad and I knew that he'd talked to my dad, and I figured he had the ring he just hadn't popped the question yet. So I was at school this past week talking to some of my friends and telling them how I really wanted to get engaged so bad, and I told them our plans to go geocaching and they were like, "Stace he's totally gonna ask you when you go geocaching!" and I was like, "Naw, whatever he wouldn't do that!" even though i was hoping he would do it that day. I wasn't positive but I was hoping!

    He picked me up to go, and when we got to campus he started showing me how to use the GPS and he was getting all into it and pointing out all the little gadgets and whatnot (little does he know how cute he looks and sounds when he gets all nerdy on me, so it wasn't like I actually heard a word he said the whole time!) and we started out to find our first clue. He let me do the finding and I eventually discovered the little canister that held the clue which gave us the coordinates of our next clue and this hint, "Think, a roof, a promise, a rock" At this point I was getting really excited/nervous because I thought I knew what was going to happen next.

    We put the coordinates in the GPS ands tarted walking. It led us to this cute little gazebo behind the new Hinckley Building on campus. We got there and I started looking around for some sort of rock, which was nowhere to be seen. jared was looking around too, and he started going off into these bushes and I'm like, "Babe, what are you doing?!" and he's all, "I'm trying to find a rock!" haha I wish you could hear the tone of our voices in that exchange, it was hilarious! Finally he says, "Stace, I found something!" and he comes out of the bush carrying a watch box. We went and sat down on a bench under the gazebo and I opened the box and there was this amazing engagement ring sitting there!!!

    My memory is a little bit blurry about the next few seconds after that, but he looked atme and said, "So you wanna be my wife forever??" and I said, "YES!!" It was so cute! Maybe it sounds cheesy, but it's typical Jared and Stacie style! Then we kissed , which happened to fulfill my life long dream of kissing my one true love in a gazebo (haha okay I'm kidding, but I had mentioned to Jared before that I always wanted to get kissed in a gazebo, so 10 pts for Jared!) haha, when we were walking back to the car we kept saying, "We're engaged, we're engaged, I can't believe we're engaged!" and we were skipping and jumping around, it was really fun!

    Anyway, that's about it. We went back to my apt and hung out for the rest of the day, went on a date that night, and then Mikell and my other roommates threw us an engagement party, it was awesome! Well that caps off the run down of basically the best day of my life so far!

The Blessed Break!

    I never thought I would ever be as excited for a Christmas Break as I was for this years. I seriously could not wait till school was over this past semester because my classes were so dang hard and I waned to die! But luckily I was able to survive finals week and I headed down to STG to hang out with my family. Haha, my family cracks me up! We are just so quirky and weird when we get together, I dunno, I guess you have to be there to truly understand the Musso clan, but we have a good time when we all get together.

    One of the highlights of being in STG was being able to talk to my little brother on Christmas. He is serving a mission in Seoul South Korea and he has been gone for 10 months or so. He is such a great kid and he is doing awesome out there! He sounded really good and he is excited to be serving a mission. 

    Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were fun, we don't have too much family in St. George so we mostly just hung out with my parents at our house. We had some friends over and my brother Nick came down from SLC so it was a good time. The only problem about going to STG was that I missed Jared like crazy!!!!

    Luckily I flew out to Washington last week to go visit his family so I didn't have to endure another week without him :) yeah I'm pathetic I know haha! I flew into Seattle and it was awesome because we spent the night there and bummed around the whole next day downtown. We went to a cool little market place and looked at all the shops, it was really fun! Oh yeah, we at the Cheesecake Factory and it was pretty much amazing! The cheesecake there is SO SO SO good! Eventually we became tired of shopping and runnin around so we started driving to Yakima where Jared lives. 

    I've never been to Washington before so driving through the countryside was a pretty cool thing for me. The pine trees are gorgeous when they have snow on them. During the next few days I had a blast hanging out with Jared's family. I already know his sister Mikell obviously. . . since we are roommates :) but it was cool getting to know his parents they are awesome! Jared and I went sledding with his dad one day in the mountains which was alot of fun. We went to a movie, we had a Lego building party, Jared's mom made us the most amazing cinnamon rolls you have ever tasted, and we just had a fun time hangin out around the house. 

    I was bummed to have to leave, but its nice to be back in Provo and in our apartment. I am excited for this next semester, even though I have a feeling I'm going to be very busy with school, work, friends, Jared and other fun things!

    Well I can't believe it's already the end of the semester, but I'm sure glad that school will be over soon! The past four months have been extremely busy and somewhat crazy, so I'm looking forward to the upcoming break from all the hustle and bustle! I should try harder to keep up this blogger thingy, but I figure not too many people follow mine anyway, so no big deal. But for anyone who happens to read this, here is a reader's digest version of the happenings during the past couple of months. . . 

1- Jared and I said "I love you" to each other! :)

2- For the first time at BYU I got a 100% on a test!

3- Jared and I went to the Coldplay concert in SLC and it basically changed my whole entire life!!!!!! It was amazing!

4- I successfully completed all of my Math 315 homework that just about killed me!

5- I went home to STG with Jared for Thanksgiving and we got to hang out with my family for 6 days straight!

6- Now I'm studying my guts out for finals week :(

    Well like I said, that's my life in a nutshell, and since it's almost 1 am I should probably get to bed since I have to get up early to study for my tests of DOOM!

 

Math Lab + Studying for My 315 Test = DOOM!

    It's days like today when I wonder why I am a Math Ed major! Here's a little run down of the week I've had. . . Monday- I went to school, then I studied for this test in my theory class (a.k.a. Math 315) for the entire afternoon, then off to FHE with the Jared. . . Tuesday- Woke up with some mild form of food poisoning, dragged myself up to school, studied for 315 most of the day, came home with Jared and studied some more. . . Wednesday- Went to school, studied for 315, came home and studied some more, then watched Minority Report. . . Today- Went to school, studied for 315, tutored some kids, then studied the rest of the night. . . I've concluded that I am pretty LAME! haha

    This class is seriously going to kill me though. I'm dreading this test that I have to take tomorrow, it's gonna be straight up murder! I will be happy with a 70% on this sucker, we'll see how it goes tomorrow. . . yikes!

    So Jared and I cooked up a frozen pizza the other night and we both got really sick the next day. I'd never gotten a bug or food poisoning like that before and it wasn't very fun! Haha, I guess it was kinda funny though cause Jared and I both got it, so after we got done with classes we went to my apartment and just crashed. We probably looked really pathetic laying on the couches in our PJ's all afternoon! Luckily it was just a one day kind of a deal, and we are both feeling alot better now. . . although I will probably steer clear of frozen pizzas for a while now!

    Oh man, here's the great news of the week. I entered into a Guitar Hero Tournament at school!!!! It's next week in the Wilk, and I'm so freaking stoked about it!!! I think it'll be tight to just play with other obsessive freaks like me, that way I won't feel so lame about my addiction to that game!

Mid Semester

   Well this semester has been pretty dang crazy so far! I've been getting rocked pretty hard in all of my classes, they are kinda crazy, but that's what I get for being a Math Ed Major!!! But other then that, life is really good right now. I love living up here in P-Town, it's just alot of fun to hang out with good friends doing random crap. Take the nickel-cade for example, who would've thought that playing old school video games give you such a thrill?! My favorite game is Golden Axe, it's the bomb! Or Sconecutters. . . that place is straight up amazing, if you having been there you'd better go soon cause their scones rock!! My friend Ashley and I go like three times a week. . . we are going to get fat but it will all be worth it! :) And then there is always Guitar Hero, love that game and I've successfully corrupted Jared into being obsessed with it! He's just about as addicted to it as I am now!!! Although I can still kick his butt at it! 

    So Jared and I went down to STG for conference and the marathon because his mom, sister, brother and sister-in-law were all running the marathon of doom! They are pretty intense! It was fun to go cheer them on though. The best part was when his mom runs by and yells at us, "I'm gonna die. . . I'm gonna die!!" her face was priceless, I wish we would've had a camera!!! We mostly just hung out with my parents the rest of the weekend, it was fun though. I like being able to relax at home, it's the best!
