I've tried to make dinner rolls several times the past few months and none of the attempts have turn out all that great. I blame it on the fact that our apartment is too freezing cold and prevents the dough from rising properly (our thermostat read a whopping 60 degrees when I woke up this morning and when I came home from campus!). . . but tonight, yeast has never been so nice to me, and I made the most perfect batch of delicious, mouth watering rolls in the whole world, quite possibly the best I've ever eaten! (besides Jared's mom or his Grandma's rolls, nobody can touch those babies, sorry people) I don't usually scream with pleasure after eating stuff that I've made myself, but after tasting these I yelled, "Holy crap these are GOOD!!" Jared thinks I'm crazy, but I am dang proud of myself, I even took a picture! Mom and Carolyn, you'd better be impressed, because who knows if I'll ever be so lucky again :)
Here's the link to the roll recipe if you want it. . . seriously, Mel's Kitchen Cafe is the bomb.com, her recipes have never failed me. I made this awesome clam chowder from the blog as well to go along with the rolls and it was pretty freakin delicious too!

That's cool you made rolls from a recipe. I want to try that some day. Right now our rolls are frozen, but they are pretty awesome, too. :)
I suck at making bread but it making me want to try it!! Congrats lol
I love MKC! (I'm sure she wont mind that I abbreviate, because she and I are like... tight! :) Way to go. I was always scared of yeast until I came across her blog!
